Abstract:
Molecular spintronics, a promising new approach to device design, requires a better understanding of electronic tunneling through magnetic molecular systems. Compared to tunneling through semiconductor quantum dots, inelastic processes are much more important. This talk will discuss both conceptual points concerning the transport theory based on the master equation and its application to specific systems. The main focus will be on the interplay of transport and magnetic excitations of the molecule.
