Abstract:
We present a static and time dependent Density Functional
Theory of strongly correlated model systems in 3D. The
exchange-correlation potentials entering the formulation are obtained
via Dynamical Mean Field Theory. For strong enough interactions, the
potentials exhibit a discontinuity at half filling, a signature of the
Mott transition. For time dependent perturbations, the dynamics is
described in the adiabatic local density approximation. Results from
this new scheme compare favorably to exact ones in clusters.
